About

I spy… a curry addict!

Hello, I’m Jill and I am a curry addict. Its true. I’ve been obsessed with all things spice most of my adult life and have spent spare time trying new recipes, exploring India and its plethora of exotic ingredients and cooking methods, which vary so widely from state to state. Having worked in the spice industry for the past three years, and the teaching profession for over a decade, I’m keen to bring my knowledge to people in an easy and accessible way, that doesn’t compromise on authenticity.
My sustainable curry kit recipes are a mixture of exciting and adventurous dishes such as the Andhra blend from the south east of India, and traditional much loved curries like my Spyced Makhani (aka butter chicken) – and all whipped up in under 30 minutes of hob or oven time!

The curry kits are simple to use, with just one bag bursting with exotic spices and simple to follow instructions.

I spy… good portions

Spyced recipes feed two very hungry curry-lovers with leftovers or a family of four! As a mum of a permanently hungry child, I wanted to make sure the recipes yielded portions big enough to keep everyone happy, with plenty of leftovers to freeze if you’re cooking for two. The Spyced Butter Chicken recipe is an absolute hit in our house and requested on a regular basis!

I spy… sustainability and low energy recipes

These special and unique curry kit gifts have been designed with sustainability in mind; the outer sari bags have been upcycled, the inner bags and stickers are compostable while the jute and recipe cards have been recycled.
